A gorgeous fall brunch board is the best way to serve breakfast or brunch to guests with whatever you have on hand! Like a charcuterie board, but filled with all of your favorite brunch food, this fall brunch board is the perfect menu idea for weekends with friends, baby showers and holidays!

If you struggle to come up with menu ideas for entertaining guests, I have the perfect solution for you. This fall brunch board is your answer for hosting gatherings with friends and family for the holidays, baby or bridal showers, or any weekend this fall when you don't know what to serve. And better yet, there's nothing you absolutely need to have on hand to make it work. It's flexible to fit whatever seasonal items you have in your kitchen, and the number of guests you'll be serving.

Why a Brunch Board is Great

I love brunch boards (basically charcuterie boards, but filled with all of your favorite breakfast or brunch items) for serving people, whether it's two people or 20. They're so easy to throw together because there are no specific ingredients you need. With a brunch board, your guests can mix and match whatever they feel like eating, and whatever fits their dietary needs, without you having to decide on an elaborate menu. And there really is very little prep involved. Choose one or two items to make yourself (like pancakes, waffles, or muffins) and rely on no-cook items for the rest, like cheese, seasonal fruit, pre-made spreads, yogurt, and nuts for the rest!

How To Make a Fall Brunch Board

  1. Buy a bunch of seasonal brunch items.
  2. Put them all together on a large cutting board or serving platter.
  3. Done!

A Few Ideas For a Balanced Fall Brunch Board:

Choose one or more from each category.

Carbs: Load up on these, because they're the best!

  • Pumpkin waffles (shown)
  • Pumpkin pancakes or apple pancakes
  • Pumpkin bread
  • Pumpkin muffins, apple muffins, or pear muffins
  • Toast or bagels
  • Pumpkin granola or another fall-flavored granola

Proteins: These can be super simple and no-cook.

  • Greek yogurt (plain, vanilla, cinnamon, or pumpkin spice)
  • Cheese (I love a mild one, like a breakfast brie or Manchego)
  • Charcuterie if you're feeling it

Seasonal Fruit

  • Grapes
  • Pears
  • Apples
  • Figs
  • Berries or pomegranate depending on how early or late in the season it is
  • Any dried fruit you have on hand also works!

Spreads

  • Maple syrup
  • Fig jam
  • Pumpkin butter, apple butter or pear butter
  • Nut butter
  • Cream cheese

Nuts or seeds

  • Raw or toasted nuts or pumpkin seeds
  • Candied pecans or walnuts
  • Yogurt or chocolate covered almonds or walnuts

After you choose the ingredients you'd like, simply place them all together, grab some plates and utensils, and you're done!

Fall Drink Ideas to Serve with Your Brunch Board

  • Fall coffee blend and/or seasonal coffee creamers
  • Chai latte or pumpkin spice latte
  • Apple cider or mulled cider
  • Apple cider sangria or apple cider margaritas
  • Pumpkin white Russians
  • Pear Collins
  • Champagne or prosecco

A Final Note on Food Safety and Leftovers

Anything dairy or animal-based should not be kept if it's been out at room temperature for over 2 hours (cheese, yogurt, meats). Everything else can be saved and eaten later! Store fruit, pancakes or waffles, and any spreads in the refrigerator. Nuts, breads, and granola can be stored at room temperature. If you aren't sure how much people will eat, you can always put out a little of the perishable items and refresh them from the refrigerator as needed.
