I'm a firm believer that a good, homemade dressing is the best way to elevate salads into meal-worthy dishes. It's the difference between choking down veggies and licking the plate. Yes, a homemade dressing can do that. One of my favorites? This maple dijon vinaigrette with fresh thyme and shallots. When making homemade dressing is this easy, there's no need to crowd your refrigerator with bottled dressings that you'll use once or twice a month!

Why You'll Love This Maple Dijon Dressing

This delicious maple dijon vinaigrette is absolutely delicious. It's the perfect balance of sweet, savory and a little acidic, with a hint of earthy thyme that's just a little reminiscent of fall. It's my go-to for all things that I want to have a fall or winter vibe.

With only 6 ingredients, this dressing is super simple to whip up in only 5 minutes, meaning you're never far away from a mouth-watering dressing made from real, healthy ingredients.

How To Make Maple Dijon Dressing

So simple. All you do is whisk all the ingredients together. Or be even more lazy efficient and add everything to a jar, shake it, and store the leftover dressing right there in the jar.

How Long Will It Last?

For the best tasting dressing, I recommend storing leftovers in the refrigerator no longer than 1 week. However, I have totally kept it longer. Do as I say, not as I do.

What To Use Maple Dijon Dressing On

I love this maple dijon vinaigrette on these salads:

  • Roasted Eggplant and Kale Quinoa Salad
  • Wild Rice Delicata Squash Kale Salad
  • Fall Harvest Warm Kale Salad
  • Celery Apple Salad with Walnuts and Dates
  • Vegan Apple Farro Salad
  • Fall Butternut Squash Salad
  • Sorghum Kale Salad with Apples and Pears

      Hi Indy,

Yes, the dressing can be frozen! I recommend freezing in small portions, like in an ice cube tray, so that you can thaw out just a little bit as needed.
