If you enjoy bourbon, you’ll love this delicious blackberry bourbon smash, a bourbon cocktail with sweet summer blackberries, lemon and fresh muddled mint topped with bubbly soda. It’s an easy and elegant summer sip!
Mr. Table, however, loves good bourbon. He is a whiskey drinker through and through, so we typically have a few choices on hand.
I was inspired to make a bourbon cocktail by the dark and moody feel of sweet summer blackberries. I thought bourbon would be the perfect complement to them, and the Blackberry Bourbon Smash was born.
This blackberry bourbon smash is smooth and sweet, with a bit of freshness from lemon and fresh mint, that makes it perfectly sippable for summer occasions. As soon as I made this delicious cocktail, I told my husband,” I don’t like bourbon, but I like this!”
Mr. Table loved this blackberry bourbon smash, too. That’s how you know it’s a good drink – when both a bourbon lover and a bourbon lover can enjoy it equally, without too much sugar or an overpowering whiskey flavor. It’s perfectly balanced, smooth and just sweet enough.
This cocktail would make a great change-up for your summer parties or dinner with friends. It is elegant and refined, yet easy to make, and makes use of fresh summer ingredients. It’ll turn even the most stubborn bourbon-hater (like me) into a believer. Cheers, friends!
