Get the flavors of your favorite cocktail in a nutritious smoothie! This refreshing Wild Blueberry Mojito Smoothie makes a quick and healthy snack or breakfast!
Alright, y'all. I'm about over winter. I've had enough of the cold and the grey skies and the coats. I'm dreaming of warm rays of sunshine, blue waves, and a drink with a little umbrella in my hand. Who's with me?
I may not be getting bathing suits and beaches any time soon, but at least I can close my eyes and pretend for a little while with this Blueberry Mojito Smoothie! It's got all the refreshing flavors of a frozen blueberry mojito that will whisk you away to a beach somewhere, if only for a little while.
While it may not be summer or peak berry season, this Wild Blueberry Mojito Smoothie has all the delicious blueberry flavor you need and all the nutrition of freshly-picked blueberries. That's because Wild Blueberries are individually quick frozen right at harvest to lock in the sweet, intense blueberry flavor and healthy antioxidants that make those bad boys unique.
Did you know that Wild Blueberries contain twice the antioxidants of regular cultivated blueberries? That's a lot, considering blueberries are already high in phytonutrients. They also have a unique, sweeter flavor because they are more genetically diverse due to growing wild. They are so flavorful that I didn't even need to add any sweetener to this smoothie to make it delicious and refreshing!
Creamy avocado gives this Wild Blueberry Mojito Smoothie a little extra nutrition boost while giving it a smooth and creamy texture that goes perfectly with the frozen wild blueberries - no ice, banana, or dairy needed! Of course, you can use regular dairy milk if you prefer, I just like to have a vegan option for those of you out there! 😉 We drink almond milk, so that's what I used here, but this smoothie would also be delicious with a little coconut flavor from light coconut milk.
With this delicious smoothie, you'll instantly be transported to paradise, no passport required. And if you sneak a little rum into your smoothie for happy hour, well, at least it'll be healthier than a sugar-filled cocktail! Cheers!
