Why You'll Love This Oatmeal

First of all, earl grey oatmeal. If you've never infused your breakfast with tea, it's really stinkin' good. You should absolutely try it. Especially with a little drizzle of good quality honey. BUT THEN you top it with some luxurious honey broiled grapefruit and some toasted almonds for a little crunch, and you've got a combination of flavors and textures that is absolutely divine. It's a healthy, delicious breakfast that might actually make you crave oatmeal on a weekend.

How To Make Earl Grey Oatmeal

  1. Add the milk and water to a saucepan. Place the tea in the liquid and bring to a gentle boil. Simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes while the tea infuses.
  2. Remove the tea and stir in the oats. Cook, stirring, until oats have absorbed all of the liquid, about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and spoon into bowls.

  2. Segment the grapefruit. Place in a baking dish and broil 5-10 minutes.
  3. Enjoy on top of the oatmeal.

Tips For Making Delicious Oatmeal

  • Grapefruit tastes best when it is segmented correctly. Use this tutorial to learn how.
  • When heating the milk, heat it gently without bringing to a rolling boil to avoid scalding the milk.
  • For a dairy-free version, use your favorite non-dairy milk.
  • Store leftover oatmeal in the refrigerator in an airtight container up to 3 days.
