This festive, fruity red and green Christmas punch with vodka, cranberries, citrus, and a special secret ingredient is a delicious cocktail for holiday parties! Just set it and forget it while guests serve themselves so you can enjoy the party. Make it non-alcoholic for a delicious kid-friendly party punch.

With Christmas right around the corner (how?!), it's time to put on your party pants and get festive! And what's more festive than a red and green Christmas punch, dressed up with beautiful cranberries and a secret ingredient to give it a little unexpected 'pop' of flavor? Do yourself (and your guests) a favor this holiday season and whip up this red and green Christmas punch with vodka, citrus, cranberries, and ginger ale for your next gathering!

Why You'll Love This Christmas Punch

  • Nobody wants to play bartender all night at a party. With this easy punch, you can make a big batch ahead of time and let guests serve themselves for the ultimate ease.
  • This punch is simply delicious! With cranberry pomegranate juice, ginger ale, hints of citrus and a touch of almond extract for a little extra something, this punch might just go down a little too smooth.
  • It's so pretty and festive! I love the look of beautiful fresh cranberries and  sliced citrus fruit in this red-hued punch. Garnish with fresh mint or rosemary, too, to make it extra pretty if you'd like!

How To Make Christmas Punch

This red and green Christmas punch couldn't be any easier to make. Just slice the fruit and put it in a big bowl (a large pitcher or drink dispenser works, too). Add the juice, vodka, Grand Marnier and almond extract and let it marinate in the fridge until you're ready to serve. Just before serving, add the ginger ale and some ice to keep it cool. Done!

Can This Christmas Punch Be Made Non-Alcoholic?

Yes! This punch is also delicious without the alcohol. Just eliminate the vodka and Grand Marnier for a tasty, pretty, kid-friendly party drink. If it's too sweet for your liking without the alcohol, add a little bit of sparkling water to cut the sweetness.

Ingredient Substitutions

  • Fresh or frozen cranberries both work well in this recipe.
  • You can use small navel oranges in place of clementines if you'd like. I just like the size and ease of clementines.
  • Use plain cranberry juice, or plain pomegranate juice instead of a blend, if you'd like.
  • Ginger beer may be used instead of ginger ale, but it will be sweeter.
  • For more fun, Christmas-y flavor, try adding a cinnamon stick or a small scoop of whole cloves to the punch while it sits in the fridge. Just be sure to remove them before serving!
  • Garnish with fresh rosemary or mint for another pretty pop of color and hint of freshness.

You and your friends or family will love this easy, festive Christmas punch this holiday season! It’s just the cocktail for gatherings where you want to relax and enjoy the party along with your guests instead of playing bartender.

  • Cuisine: American

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 limes, thinly sliced
  • 2 clementine oranges, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 3 cups 100% cranberry pomegranate juice (or just cranberry or pomegranate juice)
  • 1 ½ cups vodka
  • ¾ cup Grand Marnier
  • 1 tbsp almond extract
  • 3 cups ginger ale
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Add sliced limes, sliced clementines, and cranberries to a punch bowl.
  2. Add cranberry pomegranate juice, vodka, Grand Marnier, and almond extract. Stir and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. Just before serving, add ginger ale and ice. Stir to combine and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make ice cubes out of juice or frozen fruit to keep from diluting the punch as ice melts. You can also make fun ice cubes by placing cranberries or sliced limes in ice cube trays before filling and freezing.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, eliminate the vodka and Grand Marnier.
  • You can use small navel oranges in place of clementines if you'd like.
  • Use plain cranberry juice, or plain pomegranate juice instead of a blend.
