This natural, lightly sweetened sparkling watermelon mint lemonade made with agave nectar and just 5 simple ingredients is a delicious, refreshing summer drink that is perfect for backyard BBQs and summer parties!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups cubed seedless watermelon
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 cups unflavored sparkling water
  • 1-2 tbsp agave nectar, to taste
  • 1/4 cup mint leaves, roughly torn
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Instructions

  1. Place watermelon in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh strainer (you'll get about 2 cups of juice) and discard pulp.
  2. In a pitcher, combine watermelon juice, lemon juice, agave nectar, and sparkling water. Roughly tear mint leaves and stir lemon slices and mint into the pitcher.
  3. Serve lemonade over ice and garnish with extra mint and lemons, if desired.

Notes

  • If you plan to make this ahead of time, leave the mint and sparkling water out until just before serving.
  • If you prefer flat lemonade instead of sparkling, use plain water.
  • You can make a no added sugar version by leaving out the agave nectar.
