Tender Instant Pot Spareribs

Super tender and flavorful spare ribs are made in the instant pot for maximum convenience.

  • 2 pounds of spareribs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons mixed spices: oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 5 cups beef stock
  • 2 cups bbq sauce of choice

  1. Add the spareribs to the instant pot alongside the olive oil and dried spices and salt. Mix well and cook until browned.
  2. Add one cup of bbq sauce and mix well.
  3. Cover with the beef stock.
  4. Close the lid and cook on high pressure for 30 minutes. Do a 5-minute natural release and then quickly release the rest of the pressure.
  5. Remove from the instant pot and brush with the rest of the BBQ sauce

These spareribs are super tender and juicy. The meat literally falls off the bone and the final touch of BBQ sauce ties up the flavor perfectly.

Serve it with your favorite fried potatoes and creamy coleslaw for the ultimate and delicious meal.

These spareribs are kept good for up to 5 days in the fridge in a sealed container.
