Easy 3 Ingredient Candied Pecans are sweet, crunchy, and perfect for the holidays! Add them to salads, oatmeal, or just snack on them. (gluten-free, refined sugar-free)

  • 1/2 cup pecan halves
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch fine sea salt

  1. In a nonstick skillet, toast pecans over medium-low heat, stirring every few minutes until deep brown and fragrant.
  2. Quickly stir in maple syrup. cinnamon and salt, heating for just a minute longer. Turn off the heat and continue stirring if the maple syrup hasn't coated all of the pecans yet.
  3. Spread pecans over parchment or waxed paper to cool and harden.
  4. Store in an airtight container.

  • I highly recommend a nonstick skillet or a very well seasoned cast iron skillet. Otherwise you'll have a sticky mess.
  • Make sure you stir the pecans very well to evenly distribute the maple syrup all over.
  • Cook the pecans with the maple syrup for just a bit so that it hardens up nicely when the pecans cool.
  • You can use honey in place of maple syrup if you prefer.
  • Feel free to add a pinch of cayenne for a spicy-sweet snack, or any other spice that you want!
