Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie Bowl

This simple chocolate covered strawberry smoothie bowl is healthy enough for breakfast but delicious enough for dessert! It's perfect for Valentine's day or any time you're craving chocolate for breakfast! (gluten-free, vegan option)

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 (5.3 oz) container strawberry Greek yogurt (about 2/3 cup)
  • 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1-2 tsp maple syrup or honey
  • Splash of milk 

Toppings (choose any you like):

  • chocolate covered strawberries
  • sliced fresh strawberries
  • white chocolate chips
  • cacao nibs
  • shredded coconut
  • granola

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients in a high-powered blender. You may need to add more milk or ice to reach your desired consistency.
  2. Pour into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!

Notes

  • To make chocolate covered strawberries, melt dark chocolate chips in a small microwaveable dish. Dip strawberries and place on waxed paper or parchment and let sit in the refrigerator to harden.
  • For dairy-free and vegan option, use your favorite non-dairy yogurt, milk, and chocolate chips for the chocolate covered strawberries.
  • You can also use vanilla or plain Greek yogurt. Plain will give you a less sweet smoothie.
