Entertaining is a breeze when you make a pretty spring snack board! Here's how to make the ultimate cheese board filled with fresh veggies for spring.

Ingredients

Cheese (pick 2-3):

  • Soft cheese, such as brie, goat cheese or Boursin
  • Semi soft cheese, such as blue cheese or fontina
  • Hard cheese, such as manchego or asiago

Protein (optional, pick 1-2):

  • smoked salmon or lox
  • prosciutto
  • salami
  • sliced boiled eggs or deviled eggs

Veggies

  • cucumbers
  • radishes
  • carrots
  • snap peas
  • blanched asparagus or green beans

Dips (pick 1-2)

  • hummus
  • herby dip, such as my avocado green goddess dip
  • creamy dip, such as ranch or my whipped feta artichoke dip

Extras:

  • crackers or breadsticks
  • nuts or dried fruit
  • olives

Instructions

  1. Grab a big serving board or platter to hold everything.
  2. Slice veggies and blanch asparagus or green beans, if using.
  3. Place cheeses and any proteins on the board.
  4. Spoon dips into bowls and place on the board.
  5. Fill in the rest of the board with cut veggies, crackers, and any extras.
  6. Serve!

Notes

  • If you're serving a cheese board as an appetizer, you can estimate about 3 oz (total) of cheese and protein per person. If it's going to be the main course, account for about 6 oz (total) per person. For dips, estimate about 1 oz per person.
  • Cheeses, meat, eggs, and creamy dips should be left out at room temperature for only 2 hours. Any longer, and the leftovers should be thrown away for food safety reasons.
